South Lake County

In honor of National Day of Service, the Lake County Democratic Party organized a drive-thru food donation initiative on Sunday, January 17th which collected more than 3,000lbs of food donations for the Lake Cares food pantry in Mt. Dora and the Central Florida Hope Center in Clermont.

North Lake County

An additional monetary donation of $685 was made to Lake Cares.

Simultaneous events in Clermont, Four Corners, Leesburg, and Mt. Dora were listed among the Presidential Inaugural Committee’s National Day of Service events.

Donations collected at the Four Corners and Clermont locations were directed to The Hope Center, with donations collected in Leesburg and Mt Dora benefiting Lake Cares.

Donations were received by the food pantries on January 18th.

Established in the 1950’s, The Lake County Democratic Party is passionate about demonstrating how democratic ideals do good in the community.
