Clermont police officers arrest a 47-year-old man, identified as Brian Isom, for a vehicle burglary that occurred early this morning.

At around 4:30AM, Lake County dispatchers received a call of a vehicle burglary that just occurred. The victim stated his electronic devices, including an iPad and Laptop, were stolen from his unlocked vehicle. The electronic devices were located with the Apple find my app which was shown to be on Roane Rd., Clermont, FL. A perimeter was set up around that location and a suspect was located and identified as Mr. Brian Isom.  Mr. Isom then fled from Clermont Officers on foot.

Clermont police officers then deployed their Police K-9 and coordinated with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office to utilize their drone. Mr. Isom was located and resisted officers, resulting in the use of Clermont Police K-9 Pike. Mr. Isom was placed under arrest and transported to the South Lake Hospital where he received treatment for a minor dog bite. He was later released and transported to the Lake County Jail without incident.

Officers returned to Roane Rd where they recovered several other stolen items. A search warrant is in progress for Mr. Isom’s apartment. Mr. Isom is believed to be linked to multiple other burglaries in the Clermont area. This case is ongoing.
