There is a south Lake community effort at work to assist the Easter Bunny in his journey to distribute baskets to boys and girls. The Kiwanis Club of Clermont, Read to Sydney, Christian Men in Actions, Clermont Police Department, the Kristin Jamieson Mortgage Team, as well as many residents in the community teamed up to help the Easter Bunny provide Easter Baskets to needy families. For the past few months, Kalena Meyers has orchestrated the project.
This week, the community came together to help the Easter Bunny fill the baskets full of toys, books and snacks and have them ready for the Easter Basket Giveaway on Saturday morning, March 27 from 10 am – 12 pm at Clermont Elementary School.
The Bunny Helpers will have the baskets ready to give families in need. Just pull up to the drive-through area at Clermont Elementary School (680 E. Highland Ave. Clermont) at the corner of Bloxam and Desoto. No need to get out of the car. Baskets will be given out on a first-come basis while they last.
