
South Lake High School Psychology Teacher Gayle Dowman found the perfect opportunity to connect a Kiwanis Club of Clermont Community Outreach Project with a lesson in Pro-Social behavior. ย The students got to experience the intrinsic rewards that come from giving to others in a time of need.
Approximately 40 students participated in handcrafting 40 Easter baskets with gifts for needy children. ย In addition, many students contributed toys and snacks purchased with their own earnings.
