The loss of a loved one, feelings of isolation, and uncertainty caused by the pandemic can all cause sadness, stress and anxiety.
Cornerstone Hospice wants the community to know that these feelings are not abnormal and that receiving encouragement and support from peers can be helpful.
Cornerstone is expanding its offering of support groups for members of the community in Orange, Osceola, Lake, Sumter, Polk, Hardee and Highlands counties in Florida and Cherokee, Cobb, Coweta, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, and Hall counties in Georgia.
The support groups are free and open to any resident whether a loved one was cared for by Cornerstone Hospice.
Participants must be age 18 or older, unless otherwise specified. The support groups meet by video conference, with Cornerstone’s specially trained bereavement counselors.
