SLCC First Friday Chamber Open Mic : Chuck Gainsford, David Colby & Renee Lowe

The South Lake Chamber of Commerce helps add credibility, awareness, and integrity to your business. Members enjoy increased visibility, educationally-based workshops and plenty of socially safe networking opportunities in our local community like their Business After Hours and First Friday Chamber Connection events. These connections often lead to new business opportunities and referrals. The SLCC has a respected voice in local government. The Chamber supports business interests in the community locally and statewide. They help all new businesses celebrate their grand openings with ribbon-cutting ceremonies.

First Friday Chamber Connections: These events take place on the first Friday of every month starting at 7:30 AM. These events are a great way for members to connect with fellow businesses in a very short amount of time. Besides SLCC announcements and updates, everyone is given the opportunity for a brief one-minute open microphone presentation about your company, business, organization and any upcoming events. All members are invited to participate in this structured networking event where everyone can exchange business cards with dozens of their business peers.  Currently, they can accommodate up to 40 chamber guests due to COVID-19 safe social distancing restrictions, even though they would normally host up to 60 participants. They usually have room for everyone who RSVPs on a timely basis. Mark your calendars now for these upcoming SLCC First Friday Chamber Connect events on May 7, June 4, and July 2. Each of these monthly events is sponsored by a different member business, while food and coffee are provided by Dunkin’ Donuts or Panera.

SLCC: The South Lake Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit 501-C6 organization that is supported by dues from numerous local members and special events. They successfully welcomed 104 new members in 2020, despite the pandemic. While working hand-in-hand with the cities and community groups, the SLCC is completely independent of any government or national organization affiliation to maintain a totally local focus on our South Lake communities. This includes Clermont, Groveland, Minneola, Mascotte, Montverde and Four Corners.
