Clermont Historic Village

Darren Johnson, a long-time area resident and successful entrepreneur, will be the featured speaker at the May 10th meeting of the Clermont Historical Society.  In addition to all the projects that Darren is operating and works in Clermont, he is also currently serving as vice-president of the Clermont Downtown Partnership.  In his talk Darren will discuss the plans for the revitalizing downtown the CDP is working on, the businesses he currently owns that serve downtown and the projects he is working on—two of which will be on West Avenue next door the Historic Village and directly across the street.

The May 10th meeting of the Historical Society will be the first one in over a year that will be open to the society’s entire membership and to the public.  Anyone interested in the future of Clermont is invited and encouraged to attend.  The evening will begin at 6:00 PM with a board meeting which will immediately be followed at 7:00 PM with Darren’s presentation.  The meeting will be held in the train depot in the Historic Village located at 490 West Avenue in Clermont.

If you are interested in the history of Clermont or in history in general, why not consider joining the Clermont Historical Society?  Membership is just $25.00 per person or $35.00 for a couple annually.  For questions or further information please call 352-242-7734.
