On May 11, Clermont Mayor Tim Murry issued a proclamation at the City Council meeting declaring the month of May as Law Enforcement month.

Law Enforcement Officers are dedicated men and women who have sworn to serve and protect its citizens. The fundamental duty of a Law Enforcement Officer is to respect the Constitutional rights of liberty, equality, and justice for all people; to serve mankind; to safeguard lives and property; to protect the innocent against deception; to defend the weak against oppression or intimidation; and to shelter the peaceful from violence and disorder.

To Our Law Enforcement Officers, Thank you for your service.
