Get ready for hot summer fun on the streets of Downtown Clermont. The Clermont Downtown Partnership continues to host very exciting new Downtown Clermont events with amazing foods, crafts and live entertainment. Hundreds of visitors regularly pack the streets with masks and safe social distancing for CDP events. There is always something delicious and fun for everyone!

June 4 -First Friday Event: There will be a large array of diverse food trucks and vendors available from 5:30 to 9 PM with many of the Downtown Clermont stores open late that night. Some of the most popular food trucks will be back including Ritters Frozen Custard, A Lo Cubano, Fish Outta Water, Oh My Dogs, K&E Italian, Lee’s Famous Cheesesteak, Oshiimotto, SMAC Gourmet Macaroni & Cheese, Brazilian BBQ, Bao House, Twisted Plates, Barnwood BBQ, MOTO Mission Taco, Kona Ice, Vegan Amore and One Way Coffee. Many of the downtown shops and restaurants will remain open late. There will be classic cars with a fun Kid Zone featuring a rock-climbing wall and a bounce house. The popular Classic Rewind Band will be performing. Classic Rewind is a group of seasoned musicians who have been playing and singing Hits of the 60s, 70s, & 80s for decades. Their group offers the talents of John Richman on bass guitar and Jack Pearson on Sax, Harmonica, Flute, Percussion and vocals as well as Jon Sousan as the lead vocalist on guitar. This “live” band reproduces that retro sound. Come see them perform your favorite hits of the past! T-Mobile will be the primary sponsor.

 

June 19 Mega Food Truck Event: This always popular summer Mega Food Truck event will be held from 4 to 9 PM. The featured food trucks will include Quit Smackin, Cosmic Ice Cream, Ritter Frozen Custard, Monsta Lobsta, Chi Phi, Jour de’ Crepes, Willy T’s Crabshack, Oshiimotto, Fully Loaded, Flingy Wingy, Fat Ones, Bells Kitchen, Smellie Mellie, Amish Pretzel, Bowls for Tu, MOTO Mission Taco, Barnwood BBQ, El Cubanito, Mini Munchies, El Cactus Azul, Sugar Rush Marshmallows, Gyros for Heroes, The Naked Cupcake, Pasta n Grill and Chicken n’ Waffles. Entertainment will be provided by DJ musician Eddy Craft. This event will offer a fun Rock-Climbing Wall, a Bounce House and Batting Cages. There will be a competition to find the best food trucks with plaques awarded. Judges will include Nerds On Site IT Solutions, Debbie Stewart of Burnt Toast, David Colby of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce and Chuck Gainsford of Gainsford Insurance and the SLCC. T-Mobile will be the entertainment sponsor for this Mega Food Truck Event.

 Weekly Sunday Clermont Farmer’s Markets are now fully back for summer and growing bigger each week with over 90 specialty vendors offering you safely spaced-out food and crafts each Sunday from 9 AM to 1 PM, with new summer hours starting on June 6. Wonderful farm fresh organic produce, seafood, Florida raised local beef, sweets, plants, coffees. teas, soaps, pastas, cheese, breads, crafts, artwork and seasonal gifts make this a fun weekly event. Plus, most Downtown Clermont restaurants will be open. Bring your family! Peter Durbin will perform on June 6 and Rich Purnell, the ‘Hawaiian Luau’ Elvis will perform on June 27th as sponsored by King’s Valley Cigar Shop and Events by SG.
