Sharon Sutton (January 24, 1943 – May 9, 2021). Sharon was born on January 24th, 1943, in Brazil, Indiana, to Harold Raymond Stearley and Sylvia Noel Stearley. After college, she assisted in new church planting in Elmira, New York, with the Miller family. In January 1967, Lowell E. Sutton and Sharon married, and ten years later they moved to Central Florida.
Sharon worked as a bookmobile librarian, an insurance agent, and an elementary school teacher. For seventeen years, she taught at First Christian Church School on Hook Street in Clermont, now known as Real Life Christian Academy. Sharon has also volunteered in children’s ministry most of her life. A member of Real Life Church, she has also served on the prayer and welcome ministry team. Even when her illness made her home-bound, she continued to joyfully serve others.
Sharon enjoyed hiking in state parks, playing the piano, sketching, reading, writing poetry, playing ping pong, teaching children, and mostly encouraging others. She was grateful for God’s faithful love and encouraged others to trust God.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, both of her brothers, Raymond H. Stearley and Jack Stearley, a miscarried sibling in heaven, and her beloved husband Lowell.
Sharon Sutton was a beloved and faithful servant of Christ and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial Service for Sharon Sutton will take place at 11 am on June 26th, 2021 at Real Life Christian Church, 1501 Steve’s Road, Clermont. Please reach out to Blessings for Sharon Sutton group on Facebook for more information
