The Clermont Twisted Sugar recently celebrated its grand opening. Twisted Sugar is a family-friendly, family-owned artisan cookie and craft soda shoppe! With a showcase of many different cookie delights and over 50 soda flavors to choose from, there will always be something to satisfy sweet tooth cravings. Founders Mike and Tonia Brainchild arrived from Arizona to help celebrate the new Clermont location, with eyes on expansion across the Orlando and Central Florida area.
Cami Hoopes, Mackenzie Harrington and Whitney McBride are the owners of the new Clermont Twisted Sugar shoppe located in the heart of Downtown Clermont within the new Art District building on West Montrose Street. Cami and her husband Blaine Hoopes first discovered and fell in love with Twisted Sugar when they lived in Arizona. When they moved here to Clermont three years ago, they decided to bring the entire restaurant with them. They were inspired to open in Downtown Clermont with the opportunities for very positive growth here and in nearby Central Florida. Blaine Hoopes had worked for Whitney McBride for 18 years. McBride became one of the first Twisted Sugar franchisees in Arizona. McBride is now the owner and co-owner of 21 Twisted Sugar locations of this successful and quickly growing chain.
Twisted Sugar offers more than a dozen specialty fresh homemade cookies. One of the most popular includes their namesake Twisted Sugar cookie which has a coconut frosting with fresh lime. Other favorites include their Crinkle, Bananas Cream, Oatmeal Cookie Butter and Chocolate Chip cookies. They also offer a large variety of customized, ice-cold, and flavorful ‘Perfect Drinks’ that stay fresh for hours. With both Coke and Pepsi base products on their fresh drink bar, you can create your own customized and enhanced with Torani flavors. Whitney McBride notes, Our Bombshell drink is our most popular. It has a unique combination of Mountain Dew with pomegranate, grapefruit and fresh lime to kick you in the face, mouth and heart.
