Kim’s Cabbage Patch held a touching tribute to honor the 49 Pulse Nightclub angels that were massacred 5-years ago today (June 12, 2016) and the survivors, families and friends who grieve their loss.

The names of each of the victims were read aloud, while a ceremonial bell tolled and a white rose symbolically placed in recognition of each tragic death.

After the ceremony, everyone was invited to sign the Pulse Love Wall and share their heart-warming stories. Kim Fielding and Suzi Basting, the organizers of the event and owners of Kim’s Cabbage Patch asked everyone who attended to pray for the victims, the survivors the families and the senseless mass shootings across the globe. They also asked those in attendance to do a positive random act of kindness in honor of the fallen.

Kim and Suzi have held this same event every year since the Pulse Nightclub massacre. They pledge to continue holding this small vigil next year and for many more years to come so no one forgets.

Kim Fielding and Suzi Basting, owners of Kim Cabbage Patch, have been together for almost 30 years. Fielding is originally from Georgia and Basting is from Ohio.

They first met in Fort Meyers, before moving to the Tampa area.  Kim Fielding worked in the corporate produce industry for Fresh Point Restaurant Supply for over 8 years; Suzi Basting worked for the Department of Corrections for over 15 years. As business partners of Kim’s Cabbage Patch, they remain very loyal Clermont, South Lake and Florida fans!
