Franklin Delano Lyon passed away on June 3, 2021 at the age on 84 in the care of Hospice.

Franklin was born to Velma and William Lyon of Owosso Michigan. He grew up a hard-working farmer and married Marylyn Mae Milster. They had three children. He loved umpiring at Bennett Field in Owosso, MI and supported his family as a salesman with talent and the ability to talk to anyone. He was known for his sense of humor and his dedication to the Lion’s Club in both Owosso Michigan and Clermont, Florida. He sang in the Methodist Church choirs in Hillsdale and Owosso Michigan and in Clermont, FL. He married Kristi Moss at the age of 48.

Survivors include wife Kristi, daughters Cynthia Lyon Barrow and Karen Lyon Mason, son Jeff Lyon, and Step-daughter Kate Ziemak. Sister Thelma Van Epps of E Lansing Michigan also survives. He has three surviving grandchildren, Zachariah Lyon, Colin Lyon Barrow and Alexandra Mason, and two surviving step-grandchildren; Elizabeth and Edward Ziemak and Amanda Turner. Six Great Grandchildren also survive.

Services will be held at the Clermont United Methodist Church on June 18, at 2:00 pm. Public is welcome
