Smokin’ Jacks Bar-B-Q has been completely remodeled and celebrated its official grand opening on June 18th. Â Ambassadors and members of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce hosted the ribbon cutting.
The building was once the site of Jack’s Bar-B-Q, a local dine-in favorite since 1952. When the previous owners retired and closed the restaurant, new owner Billy Kicklighter made plans on keeping part of Jack’s 70-year old past, while making Smokin’Jack his own, with a newly remodeled interior, new savory Bar-B-Q sauces, a full bar with top-shelf liquors, beers, and wines, as well as full platter deals for take out.
Smokinâ Jackâs attractive mascot (a smokin’ pig) is available for purchase on their mugs, glasses, t-shirts, and hats.  BBQ rubs and sauces can also be purchased.
