Mohawk Surgery Center Ribbon Cutting

Feature Story & Photos by Larry H. Oskin, South Lake Tablet

Mohawk Surgery Center celebrated its grand opening. The South Lake Chamber of Commerce hosted the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

This new surgery center was developed by Dr. Feiner, Dr. Abukhadrah and Dr. Rahhal. They have worked together to plan this medical center project since 2017. Dr. Feiner notes, “It has been a dream of all three of ours to develop a highly efficient free-standing surgery center. We all strive to provide our patients with the highest level of care in the most efficient and friendly setting possible. We hope that every patient who comes through our facility has an experience they are happy with and would recommend to their friends and family.”

The Facility

As they grow, they are hoping to offer a multi-specialty facility including orthopedic surgery, gastroenterology, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, podiatry and urology. Dr. Feiner adds, “Many other South Lake physicians have already expressed interest in bringing their patients to this facility. One great feature of our Mohawk Surgery Center is that it is a freestanding facility. We are not affiliated with any hospital. Therefore, we are able to charge a significantly lower rate for the same services with high-quality professional care. Not only does this translate into cost savings for the healthcare system as a whole, but it also means potential savings for our patients. We strive to provide patients with top-notch care from our highly qualified staff, while treating them as if they were their own family members.”

I focus on providing efficient and effective conservative non-operative and operative care. I prefer to initially treat with medications, therapy, bracing and injections when appropriate.
