On August 24, after approximately nine months on the job, Lake County Manager Alan Rosen submitted a letter of resignation to the Lake County Board of County Commissioners. Speculations are swirling but the fact is the Lake County Board of County Commissions has yet to accept his resignation or his offer to remain as a County consultant. Stay tuned.
Only recently, the likable County Manager was the guest speaker at a South Lake Chamber of Commerce breakfast and spoke about his top priorities as the new Lake County Manager. He described himself as passionate about customer service, efficiency and effectiveness and wanted to completely support local Lake County businesses and organizations. He added, “I want to help the County keep pace with the tremendous growth we have in Lake County while making sure we have the services to cover the influx of new businesses and residents.”
Alan Rosen graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Local Government Management and began his work in public service in 2005, supporting the Broward County Florida Board of County Commissioners with budget and management analysis. He also served as a financial systems manager for Fulton County, Georgia and oversaw the annual budget for Washoe County, Nevada. He is a board member of the Florida City and County Management Association.
