The Town of Oakland and the Healthy West Orange Arts and Heritage Center are hosting a COVID-19 Vaccination Health Fair in partnership with the Orange County Government and the Florida Department of Health in Orange County from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021.

The event will feature the #IGotMyShot Vaccination Trailer, allowing Oakland and neighboring residents to receive a free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. The trailer will be located across from the Arts and Heritage Center at 126 Petris Ave. at the roundabout in the Town Center.

The fair will also feature booths from Shepherd’s Hope, a faith-based organization of volunteers that exists to provide access to healthcare for the uninsured, and Healthy West Orange, a grassroots movement to inspire west Orange County to become the healthiest community in the nation. They will be sharing information about their health services, providing PPE, smart thermometers, vaccination cardholders and more to visitors – while supplies last.

Only the two-shot Pfizer vaccine will be available at the #IGotMyShot Vaccination Trailer. The vaccinations are first come, first serve and are offered while supplies last. Children 12 to 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian during the vaccination and a completed consent form must be submitted. Be sure to bring the student’s ID, driver’s license or other identification for the minor at the time of vaccination.

Plus, visitors will also have the opportunity to take one last look at the “Oakland Historical Homes & Buildings” exhibition at the Healthy West Orange Arts and Heritage Center at the Town of Oakland. This exhibition, ending on August 30, allows visitors to learn about the historical buildings and homes located in the Oakland area, all while catching a glimpse of well-known local art pieces featuring these gorgeous locations.
