The Clermont Sugar Mama’s Candy Bar celebrated its grand opening. The South Lake Chamber of Commerce hosted the ribbon cutting. It’s a family and kid-friendly shop that has many different candies, signature candy drinks and over 10 freshly spun cotton candy flavors to choose from.

The three new owners, Aimee Stanley, Marcella Summa and Jessica Rush were on hand to personally welcome, serve and help celebrate this new Downtown Clermont shop, located at 716 West Montrose St.

Stanley is the broker and owner of Optima One Realty. Rush is also in Real Estate managing her own real estate team under Optima One with The Rush Team; and Summa, who previously owned the Livi & Tate Boutique in Downtown Clermont, and currently works for a marketing firm based in California.

The three owners/partners wanted to bring something fresh, new, exciting and sweet to Clermont and to do something along the lines of novelty candy because it wasn’t big in this area. They spent almost a year researching and developing Sugar Mama’s Candy Bar.

The Clermont Sugar Mama’s Candy Bar is a bit unique and distinctively different from other local candy shops. It sells novelty and gourmet candy as well as chocolates. It offers live spinning of its current 17 cotton candy flavors with over 35 specialty sodas that include its most popular Candy Coolers. They offer a little bit of everything for anyone with everything from kid’s candy, nostalgic, cotton candy, gourmet goodies along with specialty drinks.

Holly Nichols will offer a Blushin’ Bubbles Champagne Bar for the ultimate sweet experience.
