The City of Groveland’s first podcast “Roll Call with the Chief” was held on Monday, August 23, at the Public Safety Building.  It featured Police Chief Shawn Ramsey, special guest City Manager Michael Hein and Public Information Manager Sarah Panko.

The regularly scheduled Podcasts will provide up-to-date information to its community. Community interaction is what will make these podcasts successful and ideas and contributions are encouraged.

  • Police Accreditation: Building public confidence, quality levels of service, competence, professionalism and best practices. Only 175 out of 400 police agencies in Florida have police accreditation.

  • The New Public Service Building and other visible changes in the community at Lake David Park and Cherry Lake Park, Master Planning, and Groveland’s upcoming 100-year Celebration.

  • Community Involvement and Events: New Splash Pad,  Groveland Farmers Market, Juneteenth Celebration, July 4th Weekend Celebration, and so much more.

The Podcasts is an opportunity to interact with the community by regularly bringing in guest speakers, elected officials and other stakeholders.
