Orlando Cat Café and their rescue partners, SPCA Florida, will participate in the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations (NBC and Telemundo owned stations), national pet adoption campaign – Clear The Shelters on August 23rd through September 19th. The campaign falls during the five-year anniversary since the opening of the Orlando Cat Café on September 8th, a day declared by the Lake County Board of County Commissioners as the official ‘Orlando Cat Café Day.’

Jeff Cagan, Sandra Cagan, and Commissioner Sean Parks hold the Proclamation for Orlando Cat Café Day on September 8th

“In five years, we have found homes for nearly 1,500 cats and welcomed over 90,000guests, a proud accomplishment for all of our partners, particularly after a very challenging year with Covid-19,” said Sandra Cagan, founder and owner of the Orlando Cat Café. “We are excited to be part of this campaign and looking forward to making more Purrfect Matches for our cats and new adoptive families.”

During the month-long pet adoption event, all cats and kittens will be available at half off the regular adoption fee. Adoptable felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on their vaccinations.

Since 2015, NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations’ Clear The Shelters campaign has helped more than a quarter-million pets find new homes. If you are interested in adopting a cat from the Orlando Cat Café, you are encouraged to make a reservation online and review the adoption process prior to arriving.
