The Lake County School Board held a special meeting on Sept. 2, to review COVID-19 data from each public school and to discuss additional steps that could be taken to mitigate the spread of the virus.

The meeting, open to the public, was held in Commission Chambers at the Lake County Administration Building.

Any person interested in speaking was directed to fill out a public input card and submit it to the clerk before the meeting began. A three-minute time limit was imposed for each public input speaker.

Public Input was also accepted in writing by emai. All comments were shared with the Superintendent and members of the School Board, and the positions of each submission was placed on record.

Viewers were able to watch the livestream video on the “Special School Board Meeting” link.

A recorded version of the video will be uploaded to the district YouTube page http://www.youtube.com/lakeschools.   The meetings can be viewed after the meeting on the district website at: https://www.lake.k12.fl.us/school-board/board-meetings
