To honor the hard work and dedication of first responders, Kroger Delivery provided a variety of grocery items to the Groveland Fire and Police Departments, Clermont Fire and Police Departments, and Lake County Sheriff’s Department. Two Kroger Delivery vans made stops at the local stations to deliver bags of groceries that would feed more than the 600 men and women who work for the Departments.

“We are truly grateful that The Kroger Co. acknowledged and recognized the Groveland first responders as we mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11,” said Kevin Carroll, Chief of Groveland Fire Department. “The memories of that day are still fresh in the minds of first responders. The Groveland Fire Department and the Groveland Police Department are blessed to have an amazing relationship and rapport with The Kroger Co. Thank you for being part of our Groveland family!”

“Kroger continues to be a strong partner with the City of Groveland, and this recent generosity toward our Public Safety Department is only one of many examples,” said Shawn Ramsey, Chief of the Groveland Police Department. “We look forward to many successful collaborations in the future, knowing we have partners such as Kroger supporting our community initiatives.”

“We at Kroger wanted to honor the outstanding work that first responders do to keep our community safe,” said Brandon McBurney, general manager of the Groveland Fulfillment Center. “Kroger is about providing fresh food to feed people so the veteran associates within our company spearheaded this donation to recognize and feed first responders. We thank the men and women of these organizations for your dedication and commitment to serving others on a daily basis.”

“On behalf of the men and women of the Clermont Police Department, we sincerely thank Kroger for their kind gesture, generosity and thoughtfulness for first responders,” said Chief Charles Broadway, Clermont Police Department. “We work in a great city and county where the overwhelming support and acts of random kindness like this means so much. It is truly evident that Kroger will never forget the many sacrifices that first responders make every day to serve and protect others, and we look forward to partnering with Kroger to positively impact our community.”

“The men and women of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office are very thankful the generosity of the Kroger family,” said Michael Marden, Captain, Lake County Sheriff’s Department. “We cannot thank you all enough.”
