Wellington-Midwest Club

by Clermont Historical Society

Is your club or organization looking for a fun, inexpensive, & educational activity?  Why not take a hint from these happy people who just finished touring the Clermont Historic Village?  They drove all the way from Spring Hill to see something that you have right in your own backyard.  Pictured above in front of a World War II Quonset hut which houses our WWII museum, are about half of the group who started their day at the Village and then went to eat and shop in our beautiful historic downtown.

Members of the Historical Society were on hand to give guided tours of the buildings and to answer any questions about Clermont and all it has to offer.  If you think this is something your group would be interested in doing, contact the Village manager, Roxanne Brown, at 352-242-7734.  There is a $5.00 per person fee for tours set up during the week when the Village is not normally open.

Interested in history in general or the history of Clermont in particular?  Why not consider joining the Clermont Historical Society?  Annual dues are just $25.00 per person or $35.00 for a couple.  Want to learn more about the Historical Society? Our monthly meetings, held on the second Monday of each month at the Village, are open to the public.  They begin at 6:00 PM with a business meeting and are followed at 7:00 PM with a presentation by a guest speaker.  You can also follow us on Facebook and check out our website at clermonthistoricvillage.org.  We hope to see you soon!
