The International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) is hosting the 2021 Visit Lake County Florida World Waterski Championships at Jack Travers Waterski School in Groveland. The biennial event will feature a field of more than 200 elite water skiers representing 34 countries including Lake County residents:
  • Jon Travers (USA)—former US Masters Men’s Slalom Champion
  • Natalia Travers (Belarus)—former Women’s Overall Champion Current World Overall Champion
  • Lauren Morgan (USA)—former World Under 21 Women’s Jump Champion, 2 times World University Women’s Slalom Champion
  • Jenna Morgan (USA)—multi-time National Junior Waterski Champion
  • Will Asher (Great Britain)—former World Men’s Slalom Champion
  • Dominique Allard (Canada)—former World Under 21 Women’s Jump Champion

 

The opening ceremony will be held on October 12 at 6 pm at Lake Dave Park on Hwy 50 and North Lake Ave. Groveland.

The multi-day competitions will be held at the Jack Travers Waterski School at 20225 CR 33, Groveland. The event is open to the public with free entry. Food trucks will be on-site. Grab an umbrella and a chair and come out for a picnic to watch the Best waterskiers compete.
The event will be live-streamed on IWWF’s YouTube Channel throughout the event.
