Jason Siegel, President & Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission (GO Sports!) was the guest speaker at October’s South Lake Chamber of Commerce Breakfast.

Jason has enjoyed more than 30 years of success and accomplishments in sports tourism, major and minor league professional sports, as well as intercollegiate athletics.

Under his leadership, the Greater Orlando Sports Commission (formerly the Central Florida Sports Commission) hosted more than 250 events, projected to drive more than $750 million in economic impact from 2016-2021.

At the chamber meeting, Jason presented a welcome gift to Jose Antonio Perez Priego, President of the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF). The IWWF hosted the 2021 Visit Lake County Florida World Waterski Championships at Jack Travers Waterski School in Groveland. The biennial event featured a field of more than 200 elite water skiers representing 34 countries including Lake County residents.
