Dr.-Alynne Solway, Clermont Elementary

Dr. Alynne Solway of Clermont Elementary School shared, “The creative talents of our Clermont Elementary School students have really inspired me to continually give them even more ongoing artistic opportunities this year. They are amazing! I am extremely proud of these little people! I’m also very proud and thankful that every student had their families come out for the SLAL art show opening as well as to the many school staff who came out to support them.”

South Lake Montessori School Art

Tracy McCoy of the South Lake Montessori School organized her students with both the SLAL art show and to additionally create an outdoor art museum at their facility. They have studied famous artists’ lives, their artwork and their varied art techniques, including Salvador Dali, Van Gogh, Matisse, Cezanne, Da Vinci, Edward Hopper and Georgia O’Keefe. The students replicated famous artwork and the techniques of these artists with their own creative versions.

Emily Carlson, Lost Lake Elementary

Emily Carlson of Lost Lake Elementary School shared how their fifth-grade students were assigned to select a word or words that inspired them. They were all very excited and inspired to create their artwork. They were then able to creatively do whatever they wanted for this show in any medium and without any other specific limitations.”

Land of Lakes Montessori School Art

Kristiana Hakanson of Land of Lakes Montessori School proudly participated with their student art achievements. Hakanson noted, “From the three-year-old to the fourth graders, we had our students study numerous famous artists and internationally respected artworks. They all had so much fun and shared how proud they were of themselves. This boost to their self-confidence carried over to their first time having their artwork displayed in an art gallery!”
