VFW Post 5277 opens on Tuesday evenings to house the Girl Scout Troop 9220 (Brownies and Daisy Girl Scouts) so that they can hold their meetings. To show their appreciation this Christmas holiday, the scouts sang Christmas Carols and baked cookies for the VFW and Auxiliary members.

The scouts started the evening with the Pledge of Allegiance which many of them learned this year. They sang a few Christmas Carols and explained what they had learned and the awards they received.

The cookies that were baked by the scouts were shared, along with a BIG thank you to the VFW and Auxiliary. The quartermaster read “The Night Before Christmas” to the scouts prior to the end of the evening.

“Even though they are very young, we could see some future stars were among us”, said VFW member Robert Farrell.
