CLERMONT:  Christian Men in Action and the City of Clermont will honor Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in a celebration commemorating his life and legacy.

Starting at 10 am, the celebration will kick off with a parade starting at 10 am at the corner of DeSoto St and Bloxam Ave. and proceed to and along East Avenue, ending at Waterfront Park (330 Third St., Clermont). The East Ridge High School and Lake Minneola High School Bands will be marching as well as local organizations, clubs and sponsors.

The program starts at 11 am at Waterfront Park and, thereafter, the celebration continues with food, live entertainment, fun and games.

GROVELAND: The life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the civil rights champion on unity, will be celebrated from 1 pm to 3 pm at Lake David Park, Groveland.

The community will memorialize Dr. King’s legacy of peace and togetherness through a series of commemorative live tributes and guest speakers at the Lake David Amphitheater. Food trucks will be available at this event.
