Dash Sports, FloDash Events and AdventHealth are coming together for a multi-year partnership that will deliver more opportunities for health and wellness to residents across Lake County.

From walkers and runners to elite athletes, Dash Sports provides top brand running and walking shoes for people who want to “live actively,” which is the retailer’s mission. Combined with over 30 years of running and walking retail industry experience, Dash Sports owner Kimberly Grogan has established her business and race company as wellness leaders in the community.

“At Dash Sports, we work with a variety of orthopedic doctors and physical therapists to help their patients find the best shoes for their specific needs. We are so excited to welcome AdventHealth’s new ER and soon-to-open health park to Clermont and with our partnership, we will be able to keep our community fit and active,” added Grogan.

Dash Sports will be hosting monthly health screenings, wellness seminars and other activities with AdventHealth physicians as well as quarterly activities with 55+ communities in the area.

AdventHealth’s title sponsorship of FloDash Events’ seven races, including the Howey in the Hills 5k/10k/Half Marathon, Showcase of Citrus 5k and the downtown Clermont Freedom 5k, allows the race producer to expand their health care network for athletes.

“Having a health care partner like AdventHealth elevates the quality of medical care on-site as well as on-going healthy lifestyle communication with our participants,” said Amalie Skorman, FloDash Events race director.

Through the partnership, AdventHealth will provide on-site activations and interactive displays at the finish line.

“AdventHealth is excited to partner with community wellness leaders Dash Sports and FloDash Events and play a hand in helping Lake County residents, from seniors to young families, to start or continue living actively,” said Sharon Line Clary, AdventHealth vice president of strategic marketing and communications. “We are dedicated to providing whole-person/whole-athlete care and, as the official health care provider, we’ll be there for runners of all levels cheering them on, helping them reach their personal fitness goals and, when needed, easing what hurts and providing the highest level of orthopedic and sports medicine care.”
