On Tues., March 15, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida invites the community to celebrate “Shoe the World Day” by donating shoes to benefit neighbors across Central Florida. The day sheds light on the importance of and need for quality footwear for millions of people worldwide who can’t afford or don’t have access to it. Shoes are one of the biggest selling items at Goodwill.

Goodwill is calling on the community to donate at least one pair of shoes that day, which locally provides a step in the right direction for many in our community who rely on the organization for affordable goods and employment assistance.

On Saturday, March 19 Goodwill Industries of Central Florida invites the community to participate in “spring cleaning” and to donate the items they’ve purged to their local Goodwill. With 91% of Americans typically participating in this ritual, it’s a great opportunity for locals to donate items that can make a positive impact in their community.

Those who make their donations on March 19 will receive a reward from their local Goodwill drop-off location – a 10% discount that can be used during their next shopping visit at Goodwill.

Donations allow Goodwill to provide low-cost goods to the community while also providing resources and jobs to Central Floridians. Revenue generated through sales of these donated items fund the organization’s job placement and training services, as well as its vocational rehabilitation program.

Visit your local Goodwill at 1855 S. Grand Hwy., Clermont to shop or drop your unneeded items or Find the Goodwill location at https://www.GoodwillCFL.org/locations/.
