DreamCatcher Horse Rescue was founded in 2006 by the Wheatley family. The family-owned and operated rescue began with 2 horses, Sonny and Little Girl, and is now home to around 50 horses.  In 2008, it became a non-profit, 501(c)3, when the recession hit and they saw a need for horse rescue. Over the years, over 1,000 horses have been rescued, rehabilitated, and re-homed. Many horses call DreamCatcher their forever home a sanctuary.
