On Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, the Clermont Woman’s Club will be hosting an open house to celebrate its 95 years of service to the South Lake Communities. The event will be held at their clubhouse, 655 W Broome Street, Clermont.
In 1921, a group of Clermont women formed the Clermont Civic Club. In l924, they purchased their clubhouse and in 1927, the Civic Club was chartered as the current Clermont Woman’s Club and incorporated. In 1932, it became affiliated with the Florida Federation of Woman’s Clubs. In 1993, the Club House was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. CWC is also part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs-80,000 members strong.
The club meets the first Tuesday of each month at 12:30 pm at their club house at 655 W Broome St. & 7th St., Clermont. For additional information see www.clermontwomansclub.org
