Montverde Academy is proud to announce that Cailyn Moore, author of A Dream Too Big: The Story of an Improbable Journey from Compton to Oxford, will deliver the Baccalaureate speech for the Class of 2022 Baccalaureate Ceremony.

The Commencement address will be delivered by tubist Richard White, as well as featured performers like gospel singer, Callie Day, award-winning operatic tenor and BMI songwriter/recording artist, Ben Gulley and Gaither Vocal Band’s lead singer, Adam Crabb.

Cailyn Moore will be delivering a Baccalaureate speech to our graduating class of 2022. His acclaimed book, A Dream Too Big has been featured on Good Morning America, Hallmark Channel, ABC News, Sirius XM Radio, among other media outlets. His inspirational story on his journey from the cruel poverty of a gang-ridden Los Angeles community to becoming a Rhodes Scholar has created praise among notable figures in the entertainment industry such as Michael Strahan, New York’s best-selling author Wes More, Ron Hall and more.

“We are very excited about this year’s Commencement and Baccalaureate ceremonies and all those who will be a part of it.,” said Dr. Kasey C. Kesselring, President of Montverde Academy. “Our students have managed through significant adversity in the past two years, and we are delighted to bring inspiration and motivation to our seniors on this special day in their journey toward adulthood.”

Callie Day, America’s Got Talent contestant and Atlanta, Georgia native, will be performing once again during the Baccalaureate ceremony. Day is an educator, artist, vocalist, and voice instructor with an incredible range of talents. She has performed with the Miami University Opera, the Cincinnati Opera, the Bowling Green State Opera, the University of Kentucky Opera and in recent years, a touring member of the American Spiritual Ensemble.

Performing during the Commencement ceremony is Ben Gulley, an award-winning operatic tenor and BMI songwriter/recording artist. His career includes lead roles in opera, solo engagements, concert work, film work, nationwide touring, and prestigious appearances abroad from Carnegie Hall to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. He has also earned numerous awards and been recognized as a “startlingly-gifted” tenor by The San Francisco Classical Voice.

The Gaither Vocal Band’s newest member Adam Crabb will also be a part of the artist ensemble during the ceremonies. Crabb comes with a lifetime of musical training from being part of the award-winning Crabb Family gospel group. “You cannot tell me that dreams do not come true. As a child, I would listen to the Gaither Vocal Band, and I dreamed of one day being able to sing with them, and here I am.” said Crabb on the Beckie Simmons Agency overview.

“Our hope is to finish this school year with happy and healthy hearts, and that our students can remember this day forever.” said Dr. Kesselring.” The Baccalaureate ceremony will take place on Friday, May 13 at 7:00 p.m. with the Commencement ceremony following the next day, Saturday, May 14 at 9:45 a.m. at the Mills Championship Court in the EdgeCenter for Sportsmanship & Wellness.
