The Clermont FC Soccer Club, 17 years and under (U17) boys team, won the Florida Presidents Cup and will be traveling to play in the 2022 U.S Youth Soccer Southern Regional Presidents Cup on June 15 through 19, 2022 in Frisco Texas. Club VP/Treasurer Kevin Johnson stated, “It’s not every day a team from a soccer club our size or Central Florida plays in a National Tournament.”

As the only boys’ team representing Central Florida, not every one of the 15 players can afford the $1,200 necessary to make this trip. Consider donating to help send this amazing team to Texas and bring home the trophy.

Johnson noted, “Clermont FC is a smaller club; nationally with 700 competitive players. This U17 team played teams of a high caliber and won. They won the state tournament and now are going to the Presidents Cup.”

Team Members Max Kempany and Jonathan Green

The journey for this group of 16 and 17-year-old boys started in February and ended in May. They played 12 competitive games and went undefeated, tying three. They outscored all other teams in total goals.  Johnson continued, “we are about the community and development of the players. We help develop soccer players.”

Clermont FC Soccer Club has 7 licensed coaches at differing levels and a volunteer coached and operated association. Kevin continued, “the club has in-house programs teaching skills starting with 5-year-olds. So when they join competitive teams they know the skills and language of the sport.”

Clermont FC, a soccer club, consisting of both competitive and recreational programs caters to girls and boys from Central Florida. They are a 501c (3) nonprofit organization managed by dedicated volunteers. The club offers top-quality coaching and training.

The team is coached by Scott Carnavale and Bill Barth with trainer/coach Aaron Nicholas and includes:

Nicholas Aquilino, Isaiah Arnold, Charles Barth, Ross Brown, Isaiah Brown, Alexander Dieguez, Jack Dorr, Jonathan Green, Max Kempany, Jackson Sandoval, Gabriel Skurski, Samuel Taylor, Nicolas Vasquez

The team needs your help to send these young men on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in this tournament.

Support the team. Checks should be made to Clermont FC.  Write U17 boys or a specific team member on the memo line and mail to Clermont FC Soccer Club, 13900 CR 455, Suite 107-326, Clermont, FL 34711. There are also online opportunities to contribute. Visit: U17 FUND
