Global Sourcing Group recently celebrated its new Montverde showroom and office opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the South Lake Chamber of Commerce. Global Sourcing Group resources and manufactures custom branded goods, specializing in imprinted promotional products, retail packaging and decorated apparel. They are a one-stop shop.
President Michael Carpenter was born and raised in London, England. He formerly played professional soccer, worked in the London Stock Exchange and owned a soccer sporting goods store in the USA. He joined forces with a friend, former teammate and business partner Glen Jusczyk, another former professional soccer player. Jusczyk started Global Sourcing Group in North Attleboro, Massachusetts near Boston in 1997. Carpenter joined him in 2007.
When Carpenter’s daughter received a volleyball scholarship to Montverde Academy, he moved his family here to Montverde, Florida. After graduating from Montverde Academy, Katherine ‘Katie’ Carpenter now heads up sales and marketing for the Global Sources Group.
