MVA Lower School’s Liliana Parker recently took first place at the Malibu Rider Experience. The Malibu Rider Experience is a water sports-filled weekend for all abilities with family-friendly instruction and competition. Liliana, who is in grade 4, beat out the competition in this exciting regional wake surfing championship.

Wake surfing is a water sport in which a person is towed behind a boat, riding the boat’s wake without being directly pulled by the boat on a light-weight board designed specifically for waves. After getting up on the wake, the wake surfers will drop the tow rope and ride the steep face below the wave’s peak like surfing.

With this big wake surfing competition win, Liliana now qualifies for the national championship.

Congratulations Liliana!
