Many people in the unincorporated area of South Lake County are waiting weeks to have their trash picked up.

Response from Lake County: The Lake County Division of Solid Waste’s vendor for residential trash and recycling collection, Waste Pro, is experiencing staffing challenges in the South Lake County area. Residents in unincorporated South Lake County may experience collection issues as a result. Residents who experience issues with their collection services should contact the Lake County Division of Solid Waste at garbagecollection@lakecountyfl.gov so that their issue may be tracked.

Residential trash collection in unincorporated Lake County consists of once-per-week trash, one-per-week recycling and once-per-week yard waste collection.

PRESENTLY:  Waste Pro is currently experiencing a severe staffing shortage.  They are diligently working to hire and train new staff as quickly as possible.

Garbage and yard waste should be picked up on the normal day this week.  Recycling is being suspended for 30 days.  Residents can put the recycling in the trash cart or take it to one of our convenience centers.  The two closest locations to your subdivision are:

Central Facility
