Grace Young, a rising fifth grader at Montverde Academy is a competitive figure skater who represents the Figure Skating Club of Osceola. The club’s home rink is in Kissimmee, Florida. Grace competed in her first national competition this past weekend, the Excel National Festival, held at Figure Skating Club of Boston in Norwood, Massachusetts. Skaters of all ages and levels were invited to compete and celebrate their love of skating. More than 400 skaters were registered for this year’s competition. 

Grace competed against some of the best skaters in her age and level. She came home with Gold (1st) in Spins, Bronze (3rd) in Jumps, Pewter (4th) in compulsory figures and 5th in free skate! She also participated in off-ice classes and seminars taught by TEAM USA Olympians. We are so proud of her dedication and hard work!
