The City of Groveland will host its annual Back2School Backpack Bash, on while supplies last, at the Nathaniel Community Gymnasium, located on the grounds of Hope International Church, 13806 State Road 33, Groveland.

By partnering with local organizations and community sponsors, the City will be able to provide 630+ free backpacks with supplies to families with kids grades Kindergarten through Eighth grade. Adult and child must be present upon arrival to receive backpacks, supplies, and food. Individuals in attendance will also receive one free meal as 700+ hot dogs, chips and water have been donated by local sponsors to add a special charm to this summer-ending celebration.

“Seeing the smile on the kids’ faces is what I love the most,” said Mayor Evelyn Wilson. “I look forward to all of the charming events, but the backpack bash is certainly one of my favorites – taking care of the kiddos and serving the families is what’s important.”
