On September 16, at the South Lake Chamber Breakfast, Lake County Commissioner Sean Parks announced Natalie Christine Babinski of Montverde Academy as the recipient of the Ray Goodgame Outstanding Student Leader Award. The Ray Goodgame Scholarship honors students in the South Lake area who serve as champions for the South Lake community. 

Natalie, an Outstanding Student, has displayed exceptional leadership in high school through leadership roles and serving in clubs such as Secretary of the Key Club, President of Web Master, and Vice President of GSA while volunteering her time for both the Environmental Club and Girls for Girls. She has also participated in the National Honor Society, French Honor Society, and Science Honor Society. As an Eagle Ambassador supporting the Head of School Leadership and the Director of Events, she participates as the Manager for Varsity Volleyball Team, Middle School Track Team, and the Pom Squad. She is a member and volunteer for Thrive Clermont and the Teen Advisory Council.

As this year’s Chair of the Event Planning Committee and a member of the Social Media Committee, this outstanding student leads the facilitation of various events in Clermont such as the Winter Festival and the Adulting Series. Our recipient also volunteers her time with the Groveland Historical Museum and has recently joined the Archiving Committee where she organizes historical documentation and later uploads it to their website. She understands the significance of balancing her schedule with volunteerism while achieving high academically. Natalie maintains a GPA of 4.27!
