Martha Ann “Marty” Taylor Heinrich, 85, passed peacefully from this earth surrounded by her loving family, on October 15, 2022. Marty was born on August 10, 1937, in Morgantown, WV, to Charles Chilton and Ann Elizabeth Fay Taylor. Her father was a WV State Trooper, and her grandfather J. Alfred Taylor was a West Virginia State Senator for many years.
Marty grew up in West Virginia with her father and stepmother, Anna Hatfield Taylor, with whom she had a special bond. When she was 11 years old, her beloved baby brother Charles Chilton “Chuck” Taylor, II was born. Marty briefly attended West Virginia University before marrying George Lantz in 1958. Together they had two daughters, Jennifer Ann and Allison Kay Lantz. After their divorce in 1966, Marty moved with her daughters to Clermont, Florida, to join her parents who had recently moved there. There she met and married Dr. Werner Heinrich, also a single parent of 3 young boys: Kim Dana, Eric Charles, and Alan Werner Heinrich. They married on June 8, 1967, and built the home on Lake Minnehaha where they have continued to reside. Together they added two more children to the family, John Karl and Gretchen Elizabeth Heinrich.
During these years, in addition to being a homemaker and remaining active in her children’s lives and activities, she became involved in many careers and community groups. She was active in Beta Theta Chapter of ESA sorority, Kiwanis Club of Clermont, Blessed Sacrament Church, Cornerstone Hospice and Guardian Ad Litem. She worked as a realtor for Micki Blackburn Realty, served as a Legislative Aide for Senator Dick Langley and was a greeter for Becker Family Funeral Home. She was a talented pianist, seamstress, avid reader and an accomplished cook. She loved to travel and instilled that love in her children. But her greatest love was being a mother and a mimi, a role she cherished and excelled. She will be missed beyond measure by her family.
In addition to her children, Kim (Regina) Heinrich, Eric Heinrich, Alan (Jetta) Heinrich, Jennifer Stewart, Allison (Mike) Black, John Heinrich and Gretchen (Keith) Nolen, Marty is survived by her husband of 55 years, Werner, 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 nephews, Shannon (Christa) McNeill, Jason Nieuwenhuis, and one niece, Lynn (Scott) Doran. She is joining her 2 grandsons in heaven who went before her, Garrett Daniel Hoskins and Graham Travis Stewart, as well as her parents and her brother.
Until we meet again, Happy travels Marty.
