GROVELAND, FL – In preparation for and in anticipation of inclement weather due to Tropical Storm Nicole, the City of Groveland offices will be closed on Thursday, November 10, 2022, and Friday, November 11, 2022, in observation and recognition of Veteran’s Day.

“Our Veteran community is very important to us,” said Groveland Mayor Evelyn Wilson. “To show our immense appreciation, there was no other right decision then to move our signature Second Friday Market and special Veteran’s Day Celebration Ceremony, to the following week to be sure weather conditions would be safe for our Veterans and our entire community to attend.”

Groveland’s Second Friday Market and Veteran’s Day Celebration will now take place on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with the Veteran’s Day Celebration beginning at 6:30 PM.

In addition to the above operational changes, Groveland’s Emergency Operation Center has now been activated at Groveland’s Public Safety Complex to monitor Tropical Storm Nicole’s progressions.
