The Leesburg Florida Stake Day of Service and Community Blood Drive is scheduled for  Saturday, December 3rd at the Leesburg Stake Center, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 2615 Waycross Avenue in Eustis.

Lake County residents are invited to attend.  The activity will feature community service activities for all ages. The Leesburg Stake has partnered with Oneblood for the blood drive. Michael Saunders, President of the Florida Leesburg stake observed: “Donating blood is an important service to our community. Donating blood saves lives.  Blood is needed by women with childbirth and pregnancy issues, it’s also used for accident victims, cancer patients, and those with disease. Your blood donation makes a difference.”

The Leesburg Stake Day of Service is part of Light the World, a global initiative that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosts annually and invites church members and the community to transform Christmas into a season of service.

All blood donors will receive a commemorative Light the World t-shirt and a $20 eGift card. To find a location near you and to make an appointment visit oneblood.org/light.
