Building Blocks Ministries Day Training Program was honored to be chosen by Real Life Christian Academy as one of fourteen organizations throughout Central Florida to participate on Friday, November 18th in the Academy’s SALT Project. (Serving and Learning Together). Students, teachers, staff and parents from Real Life Christian Academy showed up at the Minneola Trailhead Park with kickballs, snacks and water to greet adults with developmental disabilities who attend Building Blocks Ministries Day Training Program located in Minneola. A game of kickball, laughter, smiles, cheers and snacks were enjoyed by everyone.

Executive Director, Paula Whetro, states, “We are so blessed to live in the caring communities of South Lake, people genuinely care and want to make a difference in the lives of others. Our mission is to see full inclusion and participation of adults with disabilities in all aspects of our community. We are grateful that Real Life Christian Academy reached out to include us in their SALT project this year. Our Program Director, Coretta Daniels was pleased with the event and the possibility of more things to come in 2023!” 

Located in Minneola, Building Blocks Ministries has been serving the community since 2006 providing a Day Training Program that includes Transportation Services, Case Management Services and an Adult Care Food Program. Building Blocks Ministries is a FL Medicaid Waiver Provider and accepts private payment.
