Charles (Charlie) Lovette was born on March 8, 1944, in Kissimmee, Florida to Thomas F. and Alma Lovette. He always said he was born in Kissimmee, raised in Haines City, and went back to Kissimmee to find his wife.

He graduated in 1962 from Haines City High School and entered the Air Force in 1963. After a tour in Vietnam, he was discharged in 1967. Charlie went on to graduate from Embry Riddle in Daytona Beach. Charlie met Diann Armstrong from Kissimmee on a blind date and recently celebrated their 53rd anniversary in 2022. He worked for Lockheed Aircraft, Atlanta, Georgia, and Pratt Whitney, Jupiter, Florida before moving to Clermont as part of Orange Service Company where he remained for a number of years. Charlie was with Field Equipment as a John Deere salesman when he retired.
He was member of Clermont Masonic Lodge, Orlando Scottish Rite, Bahia Shrine, and the Lake County Shrine Club. One of his favorite projects was helping raise money for the Shriners Crippled Children’s Hospitals.He leaves behind his loving wife, Diann, and their labradoodle, Mary Lou. He is also survived by his sister, Hazel Stackhouse, Palm Beach Gardens, and many nieces and nephews. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Lovette of Haines City.A memorial service will be held at Ferndale Baptist Church, 15050 CR 561A, Ferndale, on Saturday, February 11th. Visitation from 1 PM until 2 PM. Service at 2 PM. Followed by light refreshments.
