The Lake County Water Authority (LCWA) invites you to join us for an Open House and Ribbon Cutting at Scrub Point Preserve. The Open House and Ribbon Cutting will begin at 10 am on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 12000 Eddy Dr., Winter Garden, FL 34787. Light refreshments will be served and staff will be available for tours of the property following the ribbon cutting.
Scrub Point Preserve is owned and managed by the Lake County Water Authority. The Preserve is a 93-acre peninsula that juts into Johns Lake from the southern shore on the Lake County side of the lake. LCWA purchased the property to help protect the shoreline. Ecologically, the site has been well preserved and there are at least seven threatened or endangered species and many endemic species (native species that occur in a limited geographic area).
