Come see the film “Finding Samuel Lowe.” Finding Samuel Lowe: From Harlem to China by Paula Williams Madison is a documentary about an Afro-Chinese-Jamaican Harlem family seeing their Chinese grandfather who was forever separated from their mother and his 3 year-old half Chinese, half Jamaican daughter in 1920. By 1933 Samuel Lowe and his Chinese wife permanently retired to China with 6 of his 8 Jamaican-born children.  After a 91 year separation, his black Chinese grandchildren journey to China where they find Samuel Lowe’s 300 Chinese descendants, and the entire clan is reunited.
