For nearly 45 years, Beta Theta-ESA, a local service organization, has provided support to the community. They have provided many charitable organizations in need, with loving assistance and have awarded scholarships to students to prepare for our future. With the help and support of their sponsors and the money raised at their signature event, the Beta Theta’s Mardi Gras Celebration, they have been able to give back to the community.

One of the organizations that Beta Theta has worked with and supported is the Neighborhood Center of South Lake.

The Neighborhood Center of South Lake was founded over 50 years ago; and since, the community has united its time, passion and resources to help the most vulnerable: the poor, the hungry, the homeless.

Each week, the Center assists 350 to 400 families from South Lake County, providing each with the resources they need to claim or reclaim their lives. They provide food, medical support, education and training and help those in need apply for food stamps, Medicaid, and emergency services,

The Neighborhood Center of South Lake is located at 14727 Timber Village Road, Groveland. Call 352-429-1200 or to learn more, visit https://www.tncsl.org
