The Clermont Caribbean Jerk Festival is being held today, Saturday, June 3,  from 12 to 9 p.m.  The Caribbean American Association of Lake County (CAALC) is hosting the free, family-friendly cultural event at Clermont’s Waterfront Park (330 3rd Street, Clermont, FL).

The event kicked off with an Island Flag Parade showcasing many Caribbean countries.

The festival is featuring Jerk-style chicken and pork, tropical drinks, island treats, and live music and entertainment.

Other activities throughout the event include a limbo contest, dance lessons, domino games and a kid’s zone.

The festival raises funds for scholarships given to Lake County high school seniors.
