Terry Moherek was recently installed as the 2023-24 Beta Theta-ESA president. Her board members included vice president, Toni Bell; secretary, Patricia Moore, co-treasurer, Rosetta Shobe; educational director, Ellen Combs; and parliamentarian, Donna Graham.  (Not Pictured: Treasurer Diann Lovette and preceding past president Michelle Delaney). 

The installation was presided over by past presidents Michelle Delaney and Standie Stacy. Terry’s Theme for the Year: Beta Theta’s Never-Ending Story (Reflections of Beta Theta’s last 45 years in the community).

Member Toni Bell received a plaque recognizing her home as the honorary Beta Theta Clubhouse. To her left is Patti Carrasquillo.

Toni Bell has offered her home for many of the Beta Theta meetings and activities throughout the year. For her loving support of the organization, her home was named Honorary Beta Theta’s Clubhouse.

Lou Ellen Combs was recognized as  Miss Enthusiasm 2023-2024 for her dedication and volunteer involvement throughout the year. She also received her ESA First Pearl, an honor created to help new members become involved in a wide variety of chapter activities. It is given to members who meet the criteria in their first twelve months of membership.

Michelle Delaney was recognized as Beta Theta’s Woman Of The Year and received the Philanthropic Award. The Philanthropy Award recognizes the work of persons in the community who is devoted to the welfare of the community

Outgoing president Michelle Delaney’s theme was “Making the World a Better Place. Before ending her year as Chapter President, she gave each of the members a bracelet with the inscription “You Make The World A Better Place”, a remembrance of a year of caring, good works, and the importance of continuing positive involvement in the community.  

All the proceeds from the 2023 Mardi Gras Celebration were given to local scholarships and community service organizations. It was because of the sponsorships and patrons that this was made possible.

SAVE THE DATE: This year’s Mardi Gras Celebration and Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, February 10 at the Clermont Performing Arts Center. Members of Beta Theta are planning lots of surprises and changes.
